Baked Chicken Cordon Bleu


Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breast filets
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 4 spoons of butter
  1. Pound the chicken breasts with a wooden meat hammer.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Put a slice of cheese and ham on each piece of breast.
  4. Roll up the chicken tightly. Tie up each roll with thread.
  5. Cover rolls in the beaten egg and then in the bread crumbs.
  6. Top each roll with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  7. Bake in a baking pan at 180°C (356°F) for app. 35 mins.
  8. Serve with the sauce.
Chicken Cordon Bleu Sauce
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 spoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

  1. Put the butter in a small saucepan and melt on low fire.
  2. Chop the shallots finely. Put into the butter and cook for 7 mins.
  3. Add the cream mix and warm. (watch out not to boil it).
