Chicken on bottle of beer

Ingredients:
  • 1 plucked chicken
  • 1 bottle of good beer
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of curry powder
  • ½ teaspoon of powdered sweet paprika
  • salt, pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  1. Wash chicken
  2. Mix oil with smashed clove of garlic, curry, powdered paprika, pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Cover chicken with oil with spices and marinate for whole night.
  4. Put bottle of beer (not chilled - room temperature) into hot, boiled water, keep it for 5 min. Cool bottle down. Remove paper label and wash bottle.
  5. Open the beer. Pour half of bottle into glass and put away – you will need it later.
  6. Put 2 smashed cloves of garlic into the bottle and mix.
  7. Place chicken on the bottle firmly so it doesn`t slip down. Tie chicken`s neck with thread so it doesn`t stick out. Make sure that the bottle isn`t pressing against chicken`s skin next to neck, so skin won`t break during baking and chicken won`t slip down.
  8. Put the bottle with chicken firmly in ovenproof dish so it won`t fall down. Pour the rest of beer into the dish.
  9. Put dish with chicken into oven (you may need somebody to assist you with that).
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 60-80 mins. in 180 Celsius degrees (356 F d.).
  11. Pour with beer occaisonally.
